Hi everyone! My deepest apologies for the lack of posting in the past few weeks.. I really miss being able to write about things that inspire me and share it with you all, it has been a fantastic experience and the feedback I’ve been receiving is what truly motivates me.. but unfortunately due to my current work schedule, trips and personal life, I am not been able to commit to writing a blog with the quality I desire at the moment (part of it due to being a perfectionist I guess). And truth be told I do not want to hire someone to write it for me, as self promotion was not my intention when I created this blog.
I do thank you all so much for all the support and kind messages, hopefully soon enough I will be back!! ;))
In the mean time, my fan page on Facebook and Instagram will still be active
This Saturday I had the pleasure to visit this incredible project which started 2 years ago by a group of young entrepreneurs. Their passion and commitment is truly inspiring!!
Brooklyn Grange is a commercial urban farm, meaning they grou food and sell it. They would like farming to become a thriving and viable industry in the urban setting, and also aim to promote city farmers by providing them with a living wage and reliable livelihood.
They host weekly open houses at their flagship rooftop from May through October on Saturdays from 10am till 3pm. The flagship rooftop is located at 37-18 Northern Blvd off the 36th St stop on the R/M train in Long Island City, Queens. So please do visit their website for more info, how to volunteer or even start a similar project on your hometown!!
Although it has only been 3 weeks since I have started practicing this type of meditation, I can certainly notice a difference within myself. I heard about TM months ago through few friends who already used to practice different types of meditation for many years. They believed TM was the most effective and easiest type of meditation out there. So I decided that I had to try for myself!!! I finally managed to take the time to take the course (4 days for about an hour each day) and oh boy so glad I did it!!!! It has been a very interesting and incredible experience so far.. The sense of well being and deep relaxation I feel despite what happens around me is remarkable. And yes it is Super EASY!! There is no controlling of the mind and thoughts, it’s all about letting it do its thing.. and It’s amazing what happens and how more productive we can be when we just give our mind and body time to tune in. I’m still in the early stages of my practice but nonetheless the results can be felt immediately. It’s a pretty simple routine, repeating your own mantra (given to you by a certified and trained teacher) for 20 mins in the morning and 20 mins in the evening and boom!! Done but like anything in life it requires dedication and persistence to achieve a successful result!
